We are a collaborative & creative workshop of mixologists, chefs, artists and designers that are offering this unique opportunity to be part of our team! Located inside Play- a new den and bar in NYC’s NoMad district; offering a different type of Cafe experience. Not expected pastries, bakery items, sandwiches, toasts, candies, chocolates, teas and cold press juice provide the background for innovative coffee cocktails and different brew styles.

Essential Job Requirements

Barista training in coffee bars that highlight:

• micro roasted blends and single origin coffees
• proper espresso dose, tamp, pull technique for perfect extraction
• milk texturizing and finish
• proper tea service
• mixology training or custom specialty drinks that are off-the-hook
• proper food preparation and handling with sanitation requirements
• clean and well maintained store

Hospitality

• great attitude and style
• excellent customer service, with a winning smile.
• pre emptive with guest needs to establish flow
• high interest level in the culinary arts
• sense of urgency to maintain efficiency
• great team spirit

Administrative

• cash handling experience
• fluency with POS systems
• computer, telephone, lighting and music system experience
